Spanish courses are designed to meet specific and special needs of the students.   We offer Medical, Legal, Business Spanish, Spanish for Spanish Teachers, and Latin American Literature.   These courses enable students to gain more proficiency who are employed or studying in the fields of Medicine, Law, and Business, or teaching Spanish as a second language.

Which specialized courses do you offer?

• Medical Spanish: Designed for third year and higher medical students, vocabulary building and patient interviews.
• Legal Spanish: Emphasis given to building strong legal vocabulary in both criminology and civil legal matters. Includes time with local legal professionals and at the courthouse.
• Business Spanish: General business, manufacturing and financial sector vocabulary building including insurance, real estate, and some legal terminology.

OTHER SPECIALIZED COURSES:

• Latin American Literature: Study famous literary writers from Costa Rica and Latin America.
• Spanish for Spanish Teachers: Brush-up coursesfor elementary & high school Spanish teachers whose first language is not Spanish.
