Our Spanish School in Costa Rica

We are an educational institution dedicated to the teaching and learning of Spanish in a professional and innovative method.  The school was founded in 1997, and is affiliated with universities in both the U.S., and the U.K. in providing their students Spanish language instruction.

Where is Academia de Español Nicoya located?

The school is located in the colonial town of Nicoya, in a residential area on a quiet street near the town square and close to restaurants and shopping.

How are the classrooms?

The classrooms are comfortable, all with large windows with views to the garden and river.  We have a large deck and garden patio for studying or relaxing. The school day always begins with fresh tropical juice and Costa Rican coffee.

What course materials and textbooks are used?

The school provides all course materials and texts relevant to each level.  The materials are easy to use and designed to be used in a classroom setting with the guidance of the teacher.

Who are the teachers?

Our qualified teachers are university graduates with years of experience.  All are Costa Ricans and professionals.

Is Airport Pick-Up and Transfers Offered?

Yes, we offer airport transfers both pick-up and return at an additional cost.

Does the school have internet?

Yes, the school has wireless internet available at no charge.
