The unique feature of our program is that we place only two students per teacher. This will enable you to learn faster and expedite your conversational skills.
Our teachers are qualified native Costa Rican teachers with years of experience.
Our school was founded in 1997 providing students with a quality education for many years.
Our school is located in the “Blue Zone”, a region where people live measurably longer and healthier lives. While attending classes you will have the opportunity to experience life in the Blue Zone.
Where are you located?
We are located in Nicoya, the cultural and historical capital of Guanacaste province where you will learn Costa Rican culture, and be more immersed in the language.
Nicoya is a typical Costa Rican town, away from the tourist crowds, so you’ll have more opportunity to use your Spanish and practice your skills.
Nicoya is close to National Parks and Reserves, and nearby are some of the country’s most pristine beaches with many activities including snorkeling, dolphin and whale watching, turtle nesting sites, surfing and more.
What is there to do in Nicoya?
We have hiking to the surrounding hills of Nicoya with an abundance of local wildlife and tropical birds, and at the top to see the statue Christ the Redeemer overlooking the city of Nicoya.
Horseback riding, bicycle rentals, visit our local gyms, swimming at our sport’s complex, attend a soccer game, and enjoy other sporting events.
Local festivals and parades celebrating the holidays throughout the year.
Relax in one of the outdoor cafes, enjoying our local cuisine.
Visit nearby historic communities including Guaitil, where pottery has been made since before the arrival of the Spanish conquistadors. Students will have the opportunity to make pottery.
Students can take classes at our local culinary institute and learn how to cook various regional dishes and desserts.
What Spanish programs and courses do you offer?
We offer Immersion programs, both 4 hour and 6 hour classes daily, living with a Costa Rican family which includes breakfast & dinner, and laundry.
We have Language Only programs, same as Immersion, but students stay at a hotel or AirBnB of their choice.
Our Beach Program, at Samara Beach, where students are taught at the hotel of their choice.
We have specialized courses in Medical, Business, and Legal Spanish, Spanish for Spanish Teachers, Latin American Literature, and programs for young people.
Do you offer On-Line Classes?
We offer On-Line classes, and schedules are available throughout the week.
What volunteer programs do you offer?
We offer volunteer programs in association with our local public schools, and universities.
Students can work and reside at one of our nearby National Parks, or a turtle reserves, after completing their Spanish program.
Are you affiliated with other schools and universities?
Yes, we work with universities and high schools in both the U.S. and the U.K in providing their students quality Spanish instruction.
