With our 2 to 1 student teacher ratio you will get the attention and support that you need to reach your highest potential, more encouragement to participate in class, connect with the professor and get the most out of our courses.

The program is structured into seven levels:

• Beginning Level I & II
• Intermediate I & II
• Advanced I & II
• High Advanced

Normally each course is one week, except the High Advance course, which can be taken in modules of one week up to twelve weeks.

Students are placed according to their level and abilities with a written test and oral evaluation.

What is included?

The Spanish Language Immersion Programs for adults includes homestay with private bedroom, daily breakfast and dinner while at the homestay, laundry, all course materials, coffee and fresh fruits while at the school and four hours of classes a day.

Twice each week, we will select an afternoon activity lasting from 1-2 hours.  Our afternoon activities include:

1. Hike to Cero de La Cruz, which is about an hour’s hike affording some nice views of Nicoya below and possible wildlife sightings.
2. Latin Dance Class.
3. Regional Cooking Class.
4. Pronunciation Workshop.
5. Leyes de Acento Workshop.
6. National Parks Workshop.
7. History of Costa Rica Workshop.
8. History of Guanacaste Workshop.
9. Teacher supervised Study Hall (basically extra class time).

Nicoya offers many cultural and traditional activities throughout the year, where you can experience a different culture and outlook on life of Nicoyans.

Many other excursions are available to have a full immersion into Spanish language and Nicoya’s culture.

Schedule: 8A-12N, Monday through Friday for regular program, and from 8A-12N & 12:30P-2:30P for our Super programs.

Language Only Program Available (does not includes homestay) and Super Immersion (Same as Immersion, except is six hours of class each day.)
